The theme for this aquascape is joy. I created the aquascape while imagining how fish lively express their joy of life with their bodies and a peaceful space where colorful aquatic plants freely grow. I kept the composition subtle, and made the underwater like a bush, and designed the water surface with floating leaves. What I wished more than anything especially this time was that if this aquascape in my living room can give a joy to my family and become a sign for small life. As smartphones are wide-spread, children have less chances to experience nature. I really hope that Nature Aquarium will become a new culture and develop even more to share the excitement of life with children at home.

Takuro Sato (Sales Department Div. I)

I created this layout while imagining a pleasant feeling of Summer Mountains, and the Hyphessobrycon elachys swimming in the layout created a feeling of breeze blowing through the mountains. I incorporated a composition of mountain photography, and consciously placed stones in a way that the stones in the back look like a range of mountains. I created a layout in an aquarium tank with new size this year. However, I couldn’t really take advantage of the depth. I’m going to try my best to create a layout that can make the best use of the aquarium tank size in the future.

I planted my favorite plant, Ludwigia including Ludwigia ovaris as a main plant, and did the maintenance work while looking forward to seeing how they grow. I would like improve the accuracy of small details and complete a beautiful aquascape in the future.
