DOOA STYLE #21 Enjoy the scent of aquatic plants
Aquatic plants used in aquariums come in a variety of colors and shapes, and their soft, swaying appearance in the water is soothing just by looking at them. In this article, we would like to introduce a way to enjoy aquatic plants that goes beyond just looking at them. In a Neo Glass Air 30 x 18 x 12 (cm), which is ideal for an open layout, Tropical River Sand is laid in the Neo Glass Air 30 x 18 x 12 (cm), and Manten Stones are lined up. The Wabi-Kusa grew thickly there, creating a layout that reminds us of the passing summer. It is a simple layout that you often see, but here, “Wabi-Kusa Kaoru 6.5Ø”, which is composed of wonderfully scented aquatic plants, is used to amplify the image of summer. Of course, there are other fragrant aquatic plants, and here, Wabi-Kusa Hydrocotyle Tripartita is added as a mid-ground plant to add a natural touch to the layout. It is a pity that you cannot smell the fragrance of the Wabi-Kusa Kaoru online, but enjoying the fragrance of aquatic plants is one the DOOA STYLEs.

There are a surprising number of refreshingly fragrant aquatic plants, such as Gratiola sp. (photo on the left) with its attractive purple underside leaves, Limnophila sessiliflora, and Lindernia anagallis (photo on the right), which is also known as an herb. The emersed leaves are more strongly scented than the submerged leaves, so it is recommended to grow them by soaking the bottom of the plants in the water or as an emergent plant.
It is faintly fragrant without doing anything, but trimming makes the aquatic plants give out an even stronger scent. This makes the growth and maintenance of the Wabi-Kusa more enjoyable.
